Climate Summit 2022

The 2022 Climate Summit was attended by like-minded, future climate activists! This incredible event led by youth in Puketāpapa was targeted back to the blooming rangatahi of our community. We had three excellent speakers that shed light on the more pressing environmental issues and how we can be more environmentally conscious as a community and as individuals. These speakers were Anoushka Maharaj, Dan Downing and Sophie Handford. In groups, we used information and our creative freedoms to brainstorm a climate response in a world governed by us! It was awesome seeing our local rangatahi engage with each other while discussing climate issues they were passionate about. This event successfully encouraged and empowered young people to get involved with climate-related issues while taking the first step towards climate activism!
