Our trivia night was a fun and lively way to end 2024, with teams testing their knowledge on a variety of topics. The event brought everyone together for a night of friendly competition, laughter, and good times. It was a great way to wrap up the year, and we can’t wait to host another one!

Open Mic Night 2024
Our recent open mic night, in partnership with No. 3 Roskill Theatre, was a celebration of local talent. Performances of music, poetry, and spoken word inspired the audience, showcasing the creativity and passion in our community. It was a great opportunity for people to express themselves and connect. We’re excited to host another open mic night soon, stay tuned for more amazing talent!

Youth Summit 2024
This year’s Youth Summit brought together students from local schools to discuss key topics like Inclusivity and Community Engagement. Through activities and discussions, they shared ideas, built teamwork, and worked on solutions for local issues. The event inspired students to take action and make a positive impact as future leaders.

Induction Camp 2024
The new members of PYF had an unforgettable time at their induction camp, filled with team-building activities, interactive games, and fun challenges. The camp provided a relaxed yet exciting environment for everyone to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate, and form lasting connections. Through problem-solving, obstacle courses, and sharing stories, participants bonded, grew in confidence, and truly felt like part of the PYF family. It was a fantastic experience that set the stage for future teamwork and friendship.

Community Breakfast 2024
This year’s Community Breakfast brought together local groups like Lynfield College, Mount Roskill Grammar Sport, Mt Roskill Library, Raise Up NZ, and the Puketāpapa Local Board to reconnect and plan for future projects. We look forward to seeing how these connections strengthen our community in the future.

The new members of PYF had an exciting induction camp, filled with fun team building activities, and games. It was a perfect opportunity to connect, collaborate, and build strong friendships in a relaxed and engaging environment.

PYF's very first Movie Night was a huge success, offering the community a fun and relaxing way to unwind after exams. It was a great opportunity to come together, enjoy a film, and recharge. We’re excited to host another one soon and can’t wait for more movie nights in the future!

Planting with Puketapapa 2022
The tree planting and clean-up event by Friends of Wairaki Stream and PYF was a fun and rewarding day, bringing the community together to improve the environment. It was a meaningful way to give back and preserve the beauty of Wairaki Stream. Thank you to everyone who helped!

Art Workshop 2022
Puketāpapa Youth Foundation hosted a lively art workshop where community members came together to create beautiful, unique paintings. Participants expressed their creativity, shared ideas, and enjoyed collaborating in a fun, energizing atmosphere. It was a wonderful celebration of art and community.

Climate Summit 2022
The 2022 Climate Summit, led by youth in Puketāpapa, brought together rangatahi passionate about climate action. With insightful talks from Anoushka Maharaj, Dan Downing, and Sophie Handford, attendees learned about pressing environmental issues and how to be more eco-conscious. Participants brainstormed climate solutions in groups, fostering creativity and collaboration. The event successfully empowered young people to engage with climate issues and take the first step toward activism.

The 2022 Community breakfast was a good chance to re-connect with local community organisations, to assess their goals for youth advocacy, to talk about past endeavours, and to plan for the future. Without a question, Wallace Arts Trust's excellent kai and amazing local art were the event's particular highlights. We anticipate the development that results from the lively dialogues!
Visual Arts Exhibition 2021
This year, Puketapapa Youth Foundation held its inaugural Visual Arts Showcase. We end the year with an event displaying the artistic skills of our young local painters, designers, photographers, and more.
