Community Breakfast 2023

This year’s Community Breakfast was a truly special event, bringing together key representatives from a diverse range of local organisations, including Lynfield College, Mount Roskill Grammar Sport, Mt Roskill Library, Raise Up NZ, and the Puketāpapa Local Board. The breakfast served as a wonderful platform for reconnecting these community groups, fostering collaboration, and setting the stage for future partnerships. It provided an invaluable opportunity for these organisations to come together, align their visions, and discuss their ongoing work in youth advocacy, as well as reflect on past projects that have had a positive impact in the community.

The morning was not only filled with thoughtful discussions about the future of local initiatives, but it also celebrated the vibrant creativity of the community, with delicious kai and stunning local artwork provided by the Wallace Arts Trust. The artwork, showcasing the talent of local artists, added a touch of beauty and inspiration to the event, reminding everyone of the importance of nurturing creativity in the community.

With everyone sharing insights, ideas, and plans for upcoming collaborations, the breakfast was a fantastic example of how local organisations can work together to make a meaningful difference. The energy in the room was palpable, and the discussions were both stimulating and constructive, setting the foundation for a range of exciting initiatives in the future.
