Planting with Puketapapa 2022

The tree planting and environmental clean-up event hosted by Friends of Wairaki Stream & PYF was an incredibly fun and fulfilling experience. It brought together people from all over, creating a sense of community as everyone worked side by side to make a positive impact on the environment. Whether it was planting native trees, picking up litter, or beautifying the local area, every task felt rewarding, knowing it was contributing to a cleaner, greener space for the whole community. The hands on nature of the activity allowed our participants to not only connect with the environment but also with each other. By giving back in such a meaningful way, everyone involved played a vital role in preserving the natural beauty of Wairaki Stream, making it a day to remember.
